Sloan Bryant

Sloan started playing in middle school and put together his first band along with Cody Spicer.  Over 10 years later that combination is still working.   Sloan has become an accomplished instrumentalist on several instruments and is often in demand as a freelance sideman.  As a vocalist he’s equally at home with a John Mayer song or a Bluegrass ballad.

His musical influences are:  The Band, Eagles, Zac Brown Band, New Grass Revival, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Allman Brothers Band, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Skip Ewing, Jim Croce, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, and last but not least his dad and all the guys from Dixie Dawn.

Will Tharpe

Will Tharpe had only played with one other band and was still in high school when he showed up for an open audition with TC Montana.  Six years later Will is the other half of a solid rhythm section playing bass and occasionally switching off to guitar or piano.  Will took a brief hiatus from picking to serve our country with the Army National Guard but he’s back with more energy on stage than ever.

His musical influences are: Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ben Kallam, and Victor Wooten.

“Never lose the groove in order to find a note”~Victor Wooten

TC Montana

TC Montana was formed in 2009 by high school friends Cody Spicer and Sloan Bryant.  They’ve been performing together for over 10 years and it’s reflected in their tight vocal harmonies. Bassist Will Tharpe joined the band in 2010 while still in high school and brings not only talent but also a contagious love for the music to every show. After playing for several years as a trio the group added James Tucker and Carson Brown in 2015.  Both Carson and James bring great vocals as well as the ability to play several instruments each.

Cody Spicer

Cody started out on drums because “A band needs a drummer” and he provides the heartbeat for the TC Montana sound.  With impeccable timing and drive Cody holds it together from shuffle to driving rock.  In addition to being a diverse lead vocalist Cody has a unique ability to sing whatever part of the harmony is needed.

His musical influences are: Lynyrd Skynyrd, CCR, The Band (Levon Helm), Zac Brown Band, Eagles, Dixie Dawn, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, and the Swampers.

“I ain't in it for my health”~Levon Helm

James Tucker

James became one of the newest members after his return from serving in Jordan with the United States Armed Forces.  James had been a welcome guest for several years at TC Montana shows playing harmonica and singing.  In addition to soulful vocals James will be helping out with guitar, drums, and keyboard duties.

His musical influences are: John Mayer, Don Henley, Chris Stapleton, and Eric Clapton

“For me, it's about the music.  I'm just the messenger, and I hope to do it as long as I live.”~Eric Clapton

Carson Brown

Carson is the newest and youngest member but don’t be fooled by his age.  He comes with a bag full of talent and mad skills on several instruments.  Carson is an accomplished lead vocalist and adds harmonies to the countless combination of trios that’s becoming a signature of the TC Montana Band.

His musical influences are: John Mayer, his dad (Steve Brown), Eric Clapton, and Chris Stapleton.
